Memories from Elemental Movement: Water - a conscious dance workshop and playful space designed for those seeking to strengthen their connection with themselves, their health, and their sense of identity through mindful movement.
Workshop info:
Reconnect, ground, and flow into the New Year. This workshop is designed for those seeking to strengthen their connection with themselves, their health, and their sense of identity through mindful movement.
Movement is a language, and flow is your unique code. This class offers a guided and playful space to break free from structured dance, allowing intuition to guide your movement and expression. Come as you are—no previous dance or meditation experience required!
The class is divided into two parts:
Grounding & Exploration
We’ll begin with an open circle to land into our bodies and set intentions.
Through interactive exercises, you’ll explore basic movement principles inspired by martial arts, boxing, Qigong, and yoga, designed to play with movement while engaging in exercises that emphasize body awareness, balance, and flow.
Open Dance & Integration
An open dance session where you’ll be free to mix, match, and experiment with the concepts taught, flowing to a wide variety of beats and rhythms that evoke different emotions and inspire movement.
We’ll finish with a closing circle, meditation, and stillness to ground and integrate the experience, supporting your transition back to everyday life.
Benefits of ‘Somatic Meditation’ for well-being:
Do you experience endless mind chatter, disconnection from your body, or challenges with expressing yourself? Deepen the connection with your somatic intelligence while playfully practicing self-expression in an open, honest, and supportive environment.
Learn to recognize and honor your body’s needs, boundaries, and the messages it is communicating to you.
This practice will help you feel more grounded and connected, improving your day-to-day life by reducing mind chatter and creating space for honest self-expression.
